One of the many benefits of using an Approval Workflow Solution like inMotion is that version changes are automatically organized and archived. While reviewing a current inMotion proof, you can browse and view previous versions by clicking on the “previous versions” button along the bottom of the window.
To ensure that versions of the same piece of content are kept together, make the requested changes and then upload the new version by clicking the “Replace” button on the original content posting. This will allow you to upload a new version of the same proof, keeping all versions in one location, and will not use any additional credits. While you can upload revised content as a new proof, this isn’t usually recommended.
If you need to make revisions and upload a new version before all reviews have been completed, you can do that too. Just go to your workspace and find the piece of content and click on “info” to reach the proof info page. Not only can you see the details – names, date and time stamps – for the reviews of each version, from here you can retrieve and replace the current version with your revised copy. Please note: If you retrieve a proof the original review will not be accessible by reviewers.
Just find and click on the red “retrieve” radio button along the top right of the screen.
After the existing proof has been retrieved, you can replace it with your more current version by clicking the orange “replace” button now displayed in the top right of the screen.
