In-house Creative Departments Can Now Extend inMotion’s Workflow Automation Capabilities to Freelancers, Agencies, and Other Outside Vendors with VendorFlow
Research Triangle Park NC, June 23, 2013 – Launching at the HOW Design Live 2013 conference, the new VendorFlow module by inMotionNow provides in-house creative departments using the inMotion Workflow Automation Solution with a standardized and transparent way to manage the review and approval of vendor-submitted content. Highly customizable, automated routing of proofs ensures that submitted content gets to the right reviewers quickly, while a simple upload interface limits vendors’ access to internal personnel and proprietary company information.
Freelancers, agencies, or licensees who are creating content for an organization can complicate the review process, slowing approval time and increasing the risk of content being released without proper signoff. Vendors are often deterred from sending proofs directly to the appropriate stakeholders, so routing content for review and then collecting the resulting feedback falls to internal employees. This creates bottlenecks in the approval process and leads to a process that is difficult to track and scale.
VendorFlow simplifies the management of vendor-produced content by allowing organizations to create customized routing workflows for each vendor. When uploading creative work, the vendor is automatically assigned to the correct routing workflow by simply selecting options from a series of drop-down menus, like type of content or geographic division. The content is then automatically routed to the appropriate stakeholders. When all stakeholders have completed their review, the vendor is notified and can view all feedback online in inMotion’s intuitive review environment. By automating the proof routing and simplifying the collection and presentation of feedback, VendorFlow makes it faster and easier for freelancers and vendors to get creative work approved. Additionally, with a standardized, transparent approval process, in-house teams can manage projects more efficiently and effectively.
“Our customers, such as the Licensing division of Dupont, rely on inMotion’s intuitive review interface and automated routing to get their creative work approved quickly and needed to extend those benefits to their vendors while protecting company contacts and assets,” says Rob Munz, Chief Product Officer at inMotionNow. “VendorFlow translates proof details provided by the vendor into a routing workflow, freeing the in-house team from manually routing proofs and feedback. With VendorFlow, in-house teams like Dupont’s benefit from increased transparency and standardized, scalable workflows and vendors get clearer feedback faster.”
VendorFlow offers the following functionality:
- Vendors can upload print, web and video content in a single, simple interface;
- Vendors identify the appropriate review workflow by selecting proof details from a series of drop-down menus that are customized for that vendor;
- Vendor upload portal is private, secure, and does not expose any personnel contact info or proprietary information;
- Once submitted, content is automatically routed based on customized rules preset for that use case, triggering an immediate notification to internal reviewers;
- Predetermined workflows and a simple upload portal mean vendors can easily submit content with zero training.
VendorFlow will be launched at the HOW Design Live 2013 conference, June 22-26 in San Francisco. Companies interested in learning more about inMotion’s VendorFlow portal can contact sales@inmotionnow.com.
