The first annual inMotionNow customer conference, inMomentum, provided inspiration, best practices for creative workflow, and plenty of fun for all!
On October 29th and 30th we held the first inMotionNow customer conference, inMomentum. During the two-day event in downtown Raleigh, inMotionNow hosted over 50 customers for a blend of high-level thought leadership from inspirational industry experts, and actionable best practices for creative workflow and inMotion. During the conference the inMotionNow product team also took some time to introduce customers to our new flagship product and the next generation of creative workflow, inMotion ignite. It wasn’t all work and no play though! During inMomentum we were excited to show off some of the best parts about living and working in Raleigh, NC by enjoying a cocktail hour at a rooftop bar in downtown Raleigh and sampling some delicious local cuisine.
inMomentum kicked off and concluded with some amazing keynote speakers. Stan Phelps, founder of Purple Goldfish, opened the conference by adding some color to his rainbow of goldfish. Stan shared how companies can grow faster and stand out by focusing on the things that make them unique, and not being afraid to “amplify weirdness” to differentiate. Karl Sakas, Agency Consultant & Executive Coach, delivered the closing keynote that gave attendees some fun and interactive examples of difficult stakeholders, as well as actionable strategies to manage them for smoother projects.
inMomentum was packed with actionable takeaways for attendees to bring back to their teams to optimize their creative workflow. Day 1 included a “Best Practices Lightning Round” where inMotionNow Customer Success Managers Kirsten Hose and Josh Lamb walked through a selection of inMotion features describing what they do and how they are best implemented for different team use cases. During the conference, the Customer Success team at inMotionNow also hosted an “inMo Pro Bar” where customers had the opportunity to sit down one-on-one with their CSM to discuss specific questions.
An important aspect of inMomentum was the opportunity for customers to network with each other and learn from other creative teams’ experiences. On Day 1 Joe Carmon, Senior Creative Specialist at VSP shared his team’s story about how his team switched from a homegrown, linear process to a comprehensive, agile creative workflow with inMotion. On day 2 Dylan Boan, Senior Customer Success Manager at inMotionNow, led a customer panel where three longtime inMotion customers, Jim Etherson, Creative Services Project Manager for Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, Michelle Eaton, Manager of Marketing and Communications at Ascension, and Lance Barker, Media Services & Communications Project Manager with Kansas City Life Insurance Company, shared some of the biggest challenges their teams face, and how they leverage inMotion to overcome those challenges. Following the customer panel, Brian Kessman, Director of Project Management at inMotionNow, led a roundtable session where customers came together to discuss hot topics and issues plus their own examples and advice.
inMomentum was a packed 2 days, full of inspiration, actionable insights, and plenty of fun! We can’t wait for inMomentum 2019!
