I headed over to Greensboro, NC for the ACC Tournament this weekend. I live in a split ACC house. Seminoles and Tar heels. Sadly both teams lost.
Driving over I found myself behind a semi. There was a huge sign on the back recruiting truck drivers. The label said something like; “Join us. Never fill out a log or have to track your deliveries.”
Presumably automation and GPS can now absolve truckers of those tedious tasks. And making the job easy is a real recruiting tool. Who would have thought of that? Well, who ever made that sign – and inMotionNow.
What’s true for truck drivers is true for project managers, graphic designers, copy writers, art directors, and videographers. All of us want to do our job with a minimum of hassles and headaches. But that job often requires recording tasks and time, tracking the status of projects, and keeping up on the details.
That’s why at inMotionNow, we created a web-based workflow solution to automate the tedious stuff.
Because smart leaders are touting workflow tools not just for efficiency and productivity but also for recruiting and retention. Investment in talent provides an exceptional return: a team that knows what the destination is and how to get there. By investing in tools to make your talent’s days easier, you can maximize that return: a well-oiled machine that knows what the destination is and how to get there faster.
Evidently the same rules of the road apply whether you’re competitively driving a creative agency or a semi; either obey the new rules of the road or get in the slow lane and let the world pass.
