If you’re using inMotion to review your creative content, the reviews are often returned with one of three statuses:
- Approved as is,
- Approved with changes, or
- Change and resubmit
This is a clear, efficient way to move content forward when you’re close to completion. For the most part, it’s a yes/no question with a clear outcome – either the piece is approved or it’s not.
However, at the beginning of the creation process you’re often looking for feedback on several options: Which headline works best? What color should the button be? Should the voiceover be friendly or authoritative?
These are opinion questions, and can’t be answered with a simple yes or no.
inMotion has you covered here too. When uploading content, simply select that it’s “for opinion” (vs. “for approval”) and reviewers will be asked to rate each piece on a scale of one to four stars. They can also leave comments and markups just as they would on a piece for approval. The content is then sent back with the status “opinion returned” to the content uploader, who then log into their workspace to see the reviewers’ ratings.
So if you’re a designer you have a clear idea of which options are most popular, and if it’s your opinion you have an easy way to share it. Plus, there’s an audit trail showing who was involved in the decision and what their opinion was. We’d give that four stars.
